Filipino Artists Highly Represented in San Francisco’s Bay One Acts Festival!

Bindlestiff Studio and Asian American Theater Company is participating in this year’s BAY ONE ACTS FESTIVAL, a festival of one acts plays produced by Three Wise Monkeys featuring various theatre companies, playwrights and actors from all over the Bay Area (www.threewisemonkeys.org).

This year in particular has a spectacular representation of Filipino American theater artists:

Program 1 includes MIKE RICCA’s play STUCK featuring Bindlestiff favorite AARON NILES. Stuck was originally produced in Bindlestiff’s Love Edition show.

Program 2 which opens next Thursday features a play written by Lauren D. Yee called OVER THE ASIAN AIRWAVES directed by ALAN QUISMORIO, the new co-Artistic Director of the Asian American Theater Company, and also featuring actor ALEX TRONO who appeared in last year’s BOA Festival.

Also in Program 2 is 22 MINUTES REMAINING written by playwright IGNACIO ZULUETA.

And Bindlestiff Studio presenting Jon Brooks comedy AFTER LIFE directed by ALLAN MANALO and featuring MANNY CABRERA, JAMES LANTAYAO, JAMIE NALLAS, DENNIS RODIS, ROB TRINIDAD, & SUSANNA YU.
