2006 Filipinas Magazine Achievement Awards
For the 9th consecutive year, Filipinas Magazine is honoring ten Filipino Americans whose achievements in their respective areas of endeavor make them exemplars, not only for members of our community in the United States but also for Filipinos worldwide.
The 2006 Filipinas Magazine Achievement Awards will be conferred on individuals in the following categories: Arts & Culture, Communication, Community Service, Corporate Leadership, Entertainment, Entrepreneurship, Lifetime Achievement, Medicine, Public Affairs and Youth Leadership.
Significantly, some of the leading corporations and institutions in America are sponsoring the awards, further enhancing what may well be the most prestigious recognition of professional excellence, outstanding leadership and selfless public service in the Filipino American community.
Filipinas takes special pride in showcasing this year's honorees. The awards presentation was be held last June 24, 2006 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in downtown San Francisco.
