International School of the Peninsula 20th Annual Gala and Auction

Lisa Yuchengco (Philippine International Aid Chair and Filipinas Magazine founder), and Philippe Dietz (Head of School)
Last March 29, the International School of the Peninsula (ISTP) held its 20th annual gala and auction at the Fairmont San Jose in California to raise funds for its language immersion and technology programs. Using the theme “Kabuhayan! An ISTP Fiesta,” the event also celebrated the Filipino culture through food and traditional dance. Proceeds from the online and live auction went to ISTP’s Fund-a-Need program, which seeks to provide classrooms with SMART Boards and laptops for the faculty; part of the money benefited the school’s dual bilingual immersion programs. Profits from artworks by ISTP’s middle school students that were sold during the silent auction went towards supporting the Philippine International Aid Children’s Fund.

Acknowledged as a leader in bilingual education, the International School of the Peninsula is an independent, co-educational establishment that enrolls students from nursery through eighth grade. It’s located in Palo Alto, California. Check out their website at www.istp.org. |
