RCBC President and CEO visits California
Inaugurates new RCBC Remit Centers in San Jose and Union City
Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation President and CEO Lorenzo V. Tan arrived April 11, 2008, to inaugurate the new RCBC Remit Centers in San Jose, Union City, and the newly renovated Daly City branch. He will also award the Php.P 100,000.00 ($2,384.35, based on a Php.P 41.94 conversion rate) cash prize to Damaso Ramos, the Third Prize Winner of 'Todo-Todong Papremyo Ng RCBC."

Mr. Tan will proceed to Southern California to officiate the blessing and inauguration of the new RCBC North America Corporate Head Office in Los Angeles, the relocated RCBC L.A. Remit Center and a new San Diego branch located in National City. He will also award Php.Pl Million ($23,843.35) to Sergio Navarrete of Chicago, 111. And Php.P200,000.00 ($4,768.72) to Ms. Girlie Canlas of West Covina, California. Prior to holding the leadership position in RCBC Mr. Lorenzo V. Tan was President and CEO of Sunlife of Canada (Phil.) Inc., Philippine National Bank (PNB) and United Coconut Planters Bank. Recognized by the Philippine business community as the man who turned PNB around, Mr. Tan is now fondly known as the man who gave RCBC an unprecedented highest net income in history.
Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation is the fourth largest private universal bank in the Philippines, In 2007, it recorded a 56% increase in net income from the previous year, from Php.P2.05 Billion ($48.9 million) in 2006 to Php.P3.21 Billion ($76.5 million) in 2007.
