"Santa Mesa" Screening at New York Film Fest

"Santa Mesa" will be screening at the Asian American International Film Festival on July 12th at 6:30pm at the Asia Society, located at 725 Park Ave at 70th Street in New York City. The film's director Ron Morales has been nominated for the Emerging Director in Narrative Feature Award.The film recently premiered at the San Francisco International American Asian Film Festival where It was awarded with the special jury award. It also was shown in Singapore, the Chicago Asian Showcase, LA Asian Pacific, Silk Screen, Pittsburgh, and Shanghai.

"Santa Mesa" is about a young boy coming to terms with the death of his mother. The film stars Jacob Kiron Shalov, Melissa Leo, Jaime Tirelli, Maria Lopez, Angie Ferro, Gregorio Rodriguiz and Lynn Sherman.
